I was born hearing but experienced progressive hearing loss, ultimately becoming profoundly deaf following a sudden hearing loss episode. I am now a cochlear implant user and have built a career in deaf awareness and British Sign Language (BSL) education.

I currently teach BSL at Level 1 and Introduction to BSL within adult education, and I also deliver deaf awareness training. I am deeply passionate about teaching and take great pride in supporting my students as they develop their communication skills, grow in confidence, and gain a greater understanding of deafness and Deaf culture.

Beyond the classroom, I am committed to promoting deaf awareness in everyday life, helping to foster more inclusive, accessible, and understanding communities
