I was born deaf and wear one hearing aid. Having grown up using British Sign Language (BSL), I have a strong understanding of the experiences and challenges faced by deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. I can communicate confidently using BSL, speak well, hear with my hearing aid, and lip-read.

I have completed BSL Levels 2 and 3 and am currently working towards Level 6. I am passionate about developing my communication skills further and using my personal experience and knowledge to support others.

I have experience working in educational settings, where I have supported deaf and hard-of-hearing students as well as students with visual impairments. Through this experience, I have developed a good understanding of the importance of inclusive communication, patience, empathy.
